  1. Have with you a good English-English dictionary handy.
  1. Read a sentence in any English book.
  1. Pick out a word which you do not understand.
  1. Write down that word.
  1. Preferably in a hand size card, so you can carry in your shirt pocket.
  1. Now take the dictionary.
  1. Find out how to look for that word in the dictionary.
  1. Dictionary is arranged alphabetically.A<B>C<D etc.
  1. Know its spelling. 
  1. Know the syllables.
  1. Know the phonetic spelling.
  1. Know its pronunciation.
  1. Know the meanings . A word may mean one or more meanings.
  1. Know how the word is used as a noun, verb, adjective and adverb or also as a preposition, conjunction and interjection.
  1. Now Write down the sentence underlining the word which you want to master.
  1. Here you write a sentence  of your own with the word you just understood.
  1. Then use that word in your daily writing or conversation when the right opportunity you get.
  1. Prepare at least 10 words in this pattern and in 30 days you will have 300 words in a month and 3600 words in a year. 10800 words in 3 years.
  1. Carry these cards  in your pocket.
  1. Refer to them often. Don't mug it up.
  1. The Right way to learn anything in life is.
  1. Follow these steps.
  1. A. Read or Listen. with your eyes and with your ears.
  1. B. Understand what you read or listen.
  1. Read 7 times until you understand(with the help of your friend the dictionary)
  1. C. Analyze. Know the different meanings  and how to use them in practice.
  1. D Revise. read, use the word as many times as you can.
  1. E. Most important.
  1. When you go to bed, Review what words you have learnt and  be content that you have done your best in learning a new word.
